"Estonian company invents revolutionary dog food"

Estonian company Bacterfield, that is a subsidiary of MM Group, has developed an innovative product - dog food with probiotic bacteria.

The company that belongs to Margus Linnamäe hopes to make a small revolution in the dog food business by launching this fall in Europe Formula ProBiotic, a dry dog food product that includes long-lasting probiotic bacteria. Bacterfield that produces dog food calls the product dog’s Actimel.

Vygantas Kirejevas, CEO of Bacterfield, says that the European dog food market is worth at least 26 billion kroons. The company plans to launch the product in Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Israel and Greece. Supply contracts have already been signed. The company is in the middle of negotiations for supplying it to the rest of EU, Balkan countries, Russia and US. The product could go on sale in Estonia already in the next few months.
